We share the aims of the Raspberry Pi Foundation and want to get more people interested in computer science. We want to show the world that that computers can enhance and add exciting new dimensions to existing hobbies and interests.
The School of Computer Science has a long history of public engagement, including running the National UK Schools Computer Animation Competition for the last five years. This has directly engaged over 4000 school children nationally, through the creative use of computers. Supporters have included EA Games, Google, BAFTA, NESTA, CAS, CS4FN, EPSRC, BBC 21CC and Granada Foundation and we expect to attract similar support for this project.
If you're interested in supporting the project, or joining our network of teachers/ICT coordinators involved in the project, then please get in touch through the contact page.
